Ben Garfinkel

I'm a Research Fellow at the University of Oxford and the Director of the Centre for the Governance of AI. My research interests include the security implications of artificial intelligence, the causes of war, and the methodological challenge of forecasting risks from technology.

I earned a degree in Physics and in Mathematics and Philosophy from Yale University, before deciding to study for a DPhil in International Relations at the University of Oxford. I have a strong belief in the value of cross-disciplinary learning and collaboration.
